... I suppose I'll answer this meme.

Ground Rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 weird habits of yours" and people who get tagged need to write an LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I talk to myself. Out loud. I've had this habit from a young age, and I'm not really inclined to try and get out of the habit. I've gotten better about not doing it at times when I could be seen as more that a bit batty, for the most part.

2. I work out answers to every possible way someone could react when I am nervous about having a particular conversation, especially telephone conversations. Sometimes I do this out loud. Most of the time, I end up so wrapped up in the conversation that I am making up in my head that it goes far beyond my origninal intention of being ready for good or bad reactions to a topic, and end up having a conversation about something completely different. I have a wandering mind and a penchant for what-ifing.

3. I always have a song running through my head. If I don't have a song running through my head, then I am listening to music. It is for this reason that I am partial to the vampire bloodline Daughters of Cacophany from the old World of Darkness RPG. In fact, I once had Barney's song running through my head continuously for two days, which may partially explain my current mental instability... ;)
A subset of this quirk is that I have the ability to combine songs/hear two songs playing at the same time. A good example of this is that I once, somehow, got "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" and "I want you to want me" stuck in my head at the same time. Yeah, they were playing side-by-side, not alternating. It was weird.

4. I have difficulty practicing any of the instruments I can play (or fake playing) for any short length of time. In fact, I practice for fourty-five or more at a sitting, on average. I just get lost in the music, no matter how badly I am playing. In fact, playing badly just spurs me on to sit there until I get it right. This, of course, leads me to practicing less often than I ought to, as I won't get any of the other things I need to get done, done.

5. I talk in my sleep. Apparently I have whole conversations with snippets of things I have said earlier in the day. Sometimes I talk out parts of my dreams. (I know this because Matt would sit up and talk to me long after I'd fall asleep, and then tease me about it later.)

E & I both talk in our sleep and by asking him what he was dreaming after having listened to him and via my remembering my dreams rather readily and people telling me what I was saying I have yet to find a correlation between dream and talking.....
I find if very curious.

LOL!! That sounds about right.

He's been hovering lately, nudging gently, cheering brightly, and trying to help me move forward just a little bit more. He's been letting me know that it's o-kay, which has made me feel better, but only slightly less conflicted.

*Sigh* I'll call you later this week (after Christmas) if you're around.

Love you lots,
T

As to the dreams bit:
It's not that I don't remember any dreams readily, I just rarely remember the ones where my mind is just playing. The ones I tend to remember are the very significant ones, such as the one you helped me with about the prince...
