And I guess the one thing it would take is having the opportunity to recieve forgiveness for all those things that still haunt me.

My dear, you are NEVER going to get official forgiveness for all of the transgressions that you THINK you have caused. I'd say about 90% of the things you feel guilty about are probably things that nobody thinks about except for you (i.e. the conversation we had earlier this week). You do not need forgiveness for every bad/naughty thought you have.

I think you need to set a more resonable goal for getting rid of the guilt.
